Epilobium is sometimes known as Willow Herb or Small Flowered Willow Herb. It is extensively used in Europe to treat benign swelling of the prostate. It is also used as a remedy for gastrointestinal and bronchial complaints and bedwetting. Epilobium is an astringent, anti-inflammatory and emollient that can also be used topically to soothe burns, skin sores, swellings and boils. It is also a good source of vitamins A and C.
